St. Patrick's Day Dash

Kayla, Kenzie, Grandma, Poppy, and I journeyed down to Seattle this past weekend to watch the festive, 3.5 mile, St. Patrick's Day Dash. Of course, out of the thousands of people running, we were keeping an eye out for Rich, Uncle Michael, and Michael's good friend Hugo. All three of them ran the race, which started at the Seattle Center and ended at Qwest Field. Since we arrived early the girls were able to visit all the vendors (before the area was filled with the runners) and loved the free give-aways and fun music.

The best part of the morning was cheering for Daddy and watching the excitement as the runners crossed the finish line. Hugo came through the finish line first, followed minutes later by Rich, and another minute later by Michael. Uncle Michael actually stopped to chat with us 50 yards before the finish line and then decided he should go ahead and complete the race!

We may have to convince Uncle Michael to run the race again, but Kayla and I think we may join the crowd and run next year.
