Labor Day at the Fair

We spent the "last day of summer" at the Evergreen State Fair. This was our third year visiting this fair and the girls were especially excited to ride the rides and play the games. They had a great time doing both, though we did try to persuade them that the fair is about more than rides. Of course we enjoyed the horses, pigs, bunnies and chickens as well. I love spending the weekend before school starts at the fair and it is especially fun to share this tradition with Kayla and Kenzie. Both girls popped balloons with darts and went home with a prize stuffed animal...definitely a good way to end a fun day at the fair.

Last summer Kenzie was afraid to ride the roller coaster at all...this year she rode it alone with Kayla while Rich and I took pictures from the side lines. The fair worker let them ride for a good five minutes so Rich and I were especially glad we had opted to watch rather than ride!
