When we heard the weather was going to be unseasonably warm on Sunday we decided to rent a boat and spend the day on Lake Washington. We had been wanting to do this all summer but had somehow stayed a bit too busy. We are so glad we were finally able to go boating and we loved our afternoon on the lake! I think we have definitely found a new favorite summer activity. Both Kayla and Kenzie loved exploring the lake and screaming as we hit waves and got splashed. I took a while to warm up to Rich's driving (especially with the girls and the choppy water) but by the last hour we all loved letting Rich drive fast and bounce over the waves.
After docking for lunch we picked up Grandpa and Poppy and spent an hour out on the water with them. The girls were so excited to have them join us in "our" boat. I think even Poppy enjoyed the ride... as long as Kenzie was close by where he could could keep her safe!

Ooohhhhhh, fun! My daddy says to say that you guys are real "high-rollers" now - renting boats. Next thing you know you'll be BUYING one. Looks like ya'll had a fun day on the water ;-)
