Kenzie's 4th Birthday!

On Friday, October 10th, our "baby" girl (who is definitely no longer a baby) turned 4 years old. As with Kayla, we are amazed at how quickly Makenzie is growing up and she surprises us daily with the things she knows and the adorable thoughts that go through her mind. She is a bundle of Joy (with a stubborn streak underneath) and we are blessed daily by her laughter, excitement for life, her snuggling, and her tender heart.
Kenzie was so excited for her big day, and her first big party away from home, and had been counting down the days until her birthday arrived. We started the day with our, somewhat traditional, present opening in pajamas and headed off to "Pump it Up" after breakfast.

Kenzie is always delighted to spend time at "Pump it Up" and climbed, slid and bounced non-stop for the first hour of the party. A few neighbors, friends from church and school and, of course Culver and Hollis joined us for the party. Grandma was a great help too and even braved the slides with Kenzie!

Kenzie loved having Grandma and Daddy to slide and climb with! (Look at what a fun grandma she has!)

Despite all the bouncing and sliding Kenzie may have been most excited to go to the party room and sit in the inflatable throne. She had been anticipating opening her presents in this chair for many days.

I think Kenzie had a wonderful time with her friends and we hope she will have special memories from this birthday. She did a wonderful job as the birthday girl.

Since no birthday is complete without a birthday dinner (including singing waiters with a special dessert) we met Uncle Michael and Grandma and Poppy at Red Robin later in the evening. It is always special to celebrate with family and we loved celebrating Makenzie Joy. Happy birthday beautiful girl!
