We are all excited for our third official summer in Washington and hope to document many of our adventures on our new blog. We think this might be a fun way to captures the many activities and changes in the life of the Balkcum girls. (If mommy can find time to post pictures!)We've been pleasantly surprised by a very sunny spring and the girls have already finished their first session of swimming lessons. Both Kayla and Makenzie love to swim and can't wait to get in the pool each week. Makenzie has a constant smile on her face until it comes to putting her eyes in the water or jumping in...which is when her crying and pleading begins. Once that part is over the smile immediately returns for the last part of class...free play. Kayla is made for the water and has begun to float and swim on her own. She loves jumping in the pool and diving under to look for rings. We look forward to many days at the lake in the upcoming months.
