Canoing

Renting canoes at the University of Washington has always been a favorite summer activity for Rich and I. When we lived in California we always made sure to take a canoe out on lake Washington when we vacationed in Washington. This summer we were finally able to take the girls with us. Technically, we were in a row boat (since all four of us could not fit in one canoe and Mommy wasn't quite ready to take a canoe and one of the girls on her own) but we had a great time. The girls loved the child sized oars and took rowing very seriously. The weather was beautiful and we were able to stop and explore the Arboretum along the way.

We love visitors in the summer time. Call us if you are up our way and we'll take you for a relaxing ride out on the lake! Kayla and Makenzie can't wait to go rowing again.
