Before winter hit Washington we decided we needed to escape for a little sun. A perfect day at Newport Beach and a few days at the Disneyland hotel were just what we needed. The girls loved playing in the ocean with Caleb and Lauren (Kayla and Caleb really got into the waves) and had a blast with the Bridgefords at Disneyland. Kayla was so proud that she rode Splash Moutain and Matterhorn for the first time and Kenzie even braved the Toon Town Rollercoaster. (This was a big feat for Makenzie who on our previous trip even had reservations about Dumbo!).
Unfortunately we were hit with a flu bug towards the end of our trip which slowed down our days a bit. However, we can not complain about the sun or location. (We were so bummed to miss out on spending time with good friends though....sorry!) I think we will have to make reservations at the Disneyland Hotel again soon!
