One of my favorite Christmas traditions in taking Kayla and Kenzie to see the Nutcracker ballet. In the past we have seen it performed at a small theater in Bellevue, but since the girls were a bit older this year we decided they were old enough to venture into Seattle for the big performance by Pacific Northwest Ballet. Seeing the ballet in Seattle is definitely an experience and the girls loved this special afternoon with Mommy and Grandma. (Due to the snow it was actually a few days after Christmas that we saw the ballet but it was still very festive and fun!)
After the show we ventured down to explore the theater and see the stage and orchestra pit. It was quite an exciting afternoon. Maybe next year we will convince Rich to join us for this tradition!
