We didn't take a lot of pictures, but had a great time at the zoo on Sunday morning. It was opening weekend at the butterfly exhibit and the girls were especially excited to see the butterflies.
The recently added flamingo exhibit was also a hit, but to date both Kayla's and
Makenzie's favorite exhibit at the zoo is probably the Nocturnal house. Something about the quiet darkness and the lurking animals below is very exciting for both of the girls. I have a feeling we will be visiting the bats and their
nighttime friends
every time we visit the zoo.

Oooooh, butterflies. I love those!
I'm going to try and get mommy and daddy to take me to the SD Zoo this summer to visit the animals.
