We just got back from a busy six days in California. As always, we had a great time visiting friends, our favorite places, and enjoying our "home away from home." Here are a few highlights from our six days. We were able to spend our first night with Kayla's amazing birthmother, Jazmin, as well as her sister Diana and niece Raquelle.
We headed straight to Disneyland on Friday morning and were lucky enough to run into a Disney worker with "magical fast passes." We only used the passes on a few rides but it sure was fun to have them! I guess everyone feels special when they have something "official" hanging around their neck.

Nikki hosted our old bible study for dinner on Friday night and Kayla and Kenzie loved spending time with their "far-away friends." Jacob was a little out numbered by the girls but was a good sport about posing for a picture!
Cheri's bridal shower was a big reason we made this trip. Nikki did a beautiful job planning the shower and it was so special to be down to celebrate with Cheri. She will be a beautiful bride!
Kayla and Kenzie were able to spend the day with Caleb and Lauren while I was at the shower. They had so much fun running around in the back yard and playing with their special friends. Jon...thanks for having the girls two days after surgery!
Sunday afternoon we moved to the Paradise Pier hotel so we could enjoy a little more Disneyland. (This will probably be our last trip as annual passholders so we couldn't resist staying close to the park for a few days.) We were able to meet Kyle and Mimo Sunday night at Downtown Disney and go into the park for a few rides after that. Kayla got to ride Splash Mountain and Pirates of the Caribbean with Jenna and Aiden, who were enjoying a late night at Disneyland too! There is nothing better than a few hours at Disneyland with good friends!
Paradise Pier had a great game room, which came in handy when we woke up to rain Monday morning. As we were walking to breakfast Kenzie turned to me and asked "why is it raining at Disneyland?"
The weather cleared up by Monday evening and we were able to spend a little more time with Matt, Nikki and their boys.

And yes...we spent a few more hours at Disneyland before we headed home Tuesday evening! It was definitely a busy six days but the girls were amazing...despite our busy schedule and lack of sleep. We can't wait to get back to CA for Cheri's big day in August!
